The Borscht Belt was a haven for the first- and second-generation Jewish immigrants primarily from Eastern Europe. Celebrating the old and new were Steve and Eydie. The 8th Avenue nightclubs were also known as Greektown, or Bouzouki Blvd. from 25th Street to 30th Street. You might see a cab driver and Aristotle Onasis sharing a drink and a laugh with Louis Armstrong and Anthony Quinn.  Michael & Mardi will give a sample of the two parallel tracks of immigrant culture. How it started and how it ended.
